Your Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist

Get To Know Dr. Robin Yamaguma

While growing up on the island of Maui in Hawai'i, Dr. Robin was drawn to the science and medical field. In college, she shadowed her father, who was a dentist and found the dental field intriguing. Dr. Robin worked as a dental assistant for a few years and that is when she developed a passion for dentistry.

Dr. Robin is adventurous and travelled from Hawai'i to Boston, where she graduated from the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2010 with her dental degree. While in school she went on several dental volunteer programs in Mexico to provide dental care to children who don't have regular access to a dentist. Motivated to continue working with underserved individuals, Dr. Robin worked at the Kyle Health Center on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Recognizing that dental health starts as a child and there is a high need for pediatric dental services, Dr. Robin returned to Hawai'i to pursue a pediatric dental residency through the New York University Lutheran Medical Center.

As a board-certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Robin worked as an associate in various practices in Colorado. She is now pursuing her vision of pediatric dentistry through her own office, 303 Pediatric Dentistry. The spirit of "aloha" is the foundation of her practice, and you will feel that aloha from the minute you walk through our doors.

While not at the office, Dr. Robin enjoys time with her son and rescue dog from the Pine Ridge Reservation. She is a passionate long-distance runner and completed multiple marathons and ultramarathons. Running has taken her all around the world, and her trips are usually planned around beautiful sites and trails. She is a very proud finisher of the HURT 100 race in Hawai'i. Travel and exploring different cultures are priorities, so please share your adventures with her. She would enjoy learning about your travels!

Your Board-Certified Dental Anesthesiologist

Get To Know Dr. Rebecca Rees

Dr. Rebecca Rees is our board-certified dental anesthesiologist. Thanks to her expertise, you can trust that your child will be safe and comfortable during their visit.

Because we have a board-certified dental anesthesiologist on staff at 303 Pediatric Dentistry, we’re able to offer general anesthesia for kids. This means that your child will be completely unconscious, and there is no risk of them waking up or remembering their procedure.

Dr. Rees was born and raised in Arizona but has happily called Colorado home since 2006. She attended the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 2012.

After spending time in the operating room at The Children’s Hospital of Colorado during her pediatric dental rotations, Dr. Rees was further drawn to the rewarding sense of service that comes with providing anesthesia to dental patients who otherwise would not be able to complete their much-needed dental treatment. Dr. Rees attended and completed her anesthesia residency at NYU Langone/Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Rees has worked in private practice in Colorado since 2015.

In her free time, she enjoys conquering Colorado’s Fourteeners, trying new restaurants, and, most of all, traveling. She has a special place in her heart for dogs; she and her husband have rescued multiple four-legged friends and wish they could rescue even more! Dr. Rebecca looks forward to meeting you soon!

What To Expect

From Your Child’s Visit

Once you check in with our team, your child can enjoy our interactive play area until it’s time for their appointment with Dr. Robin. Then, you and your kiddo will head back to one of our comfy treatment rooms.

Once seated in the chair, one of our dental assistants will clean, polish, and floss your child's teeth. We'll also take any necessary x-rays to check for hidden dental issues.

Then Dr. Robin will come to do the dental exam. She will introduce herself, learn a bit about your child, perform a comprenehsive oral exam, and do a fluoride application to your child's teeth. Any findings will be discussed with you, and a treatment plan will be created if Dr. Robin notices any concerns that need further attention.

After their dental appointment, your child will get to pick out a prize from our prize drawers and leave the office with a clean, shiny smile! Your family will be escorted to the front, where you can schedule your child's next checkup or any necessary follow-up appointments.

What to Bring

We recommend bringing some toys and activities for your little one. If they're nervous, you can also bring a comfort item like a blanket or stuffed toy. Beyond that, you’ll also need to bring:

  • Driver's License or ID
  • Insurance card, if applicable
  • A debit or credit card
  • Your child’s health history
  • Previous dental records, if available

Giving Back To Our Community

Seeking New Partnerships

Dr. Robin is passionate about giving back to her community. That’s what led her to spend three years serving underserved populations with Indian Health Services after graduating from dental school.

So at 303 Pediatric Dentistry, we’re always looking for new ways to partner with local charities, foundations, and other organizations. Got an idea for us? Let us know!
